The Department for the Preservation of Magical History (DPMH for short) is a department of the Magical Congress of the United States of America. This department is charged with the recording and preservation of magical history within the borders of the United States and employees a plethora of Magihistorians.

The department is located on the second floor of the Woolworth Building in New York City, New York.
